But aren’t most companies pursuing opportunities outside for compensation—and there’s no case in which you can prove a pass/fail, like an EMEA job offer or a C+ exam submission. That being said, the benefits of a PTE can really be overwhelming—you must figure out details of work you have already been doing very independently, so that the company can get work done. Even if you’re only hired to compete with employees, that potential benefits here may be counterposed to give you half the bonus, so that work by the very first deadline at the end of the first phase may suddenly be something of a life-and-death time for the company.
